The client brief to us was to modify the existing base building to accommodate state-of-the-art blow-fill machinery. These improvements to the bottling facility were scheduled in order to reduce production costs for the company.
Included in the refurbishment works was the replacement of 5500m² of asbestos roofing, extensive cutting and removal of the existing concrete slabs, installation of stainless steel drainage, installing new HV switchgear and associated transformer, new steel walkways and pipe racks.
As with most operational processing facilities, the ability for the client to continue production was imperative with all areas alongside the site able to remain functional at all times.
To meet the requirements of the client, our team spent time working over scheduled Christmas and holiday shutdowns when no staff were in the facility.
The scope of works began relatively simply and expanded throughout the course of the project to accommodate client variations and changing needs.
