Replacing an existing aged care home with a new, specialised facility has benefited the residents and staff of Ozanam Villa, as well as created a number of jobs for Sunshine Coast locals.

This project involved demolishing part of the existing aged care facility and the subsequent construction of a new 3-storey accommodation building, the extension of an existing respite centre, a new car park and landscaping area with putting greens.
The new facility provides an extra 29 aged care beds, 12 of which are designated as special care for people living with dementia and other challenging behaviours. Previously, Ozanam Villa was the only Ozcare facility that did not offer a special care unit.
In addition to the new works, the existing facility was refurbished, bringing it in line with other Ozcare aged care facilities around the state. It is now a modern, open plan facility with stylish common areas and manicured gardens.
