BADGE has developed a strong safety culture which has earned it an enviable reputation among the Australian construction industry, so much so that it has been asked by the Federal Safety Commission to mentor other companies working in the building and construction industry on safety management.
As well as frequent internal safety audits, BADGE’s systems and people are also exposed to regular external auditing to continue to meet strict national accreditation standards. Highly skilled employees trained in safety management and first aid are placed on each project site to solely manage site safety.
In Queensland, BADGE continues to work with the Spinal Injuries Unit Association, as well as MATES in Construction – a community organisation aimed at reducing suicide rates and improving mental health and wellbeing in the Australian construction industry. The program provides unique training, educational tools and ongoing support for employees and, following positive feedback in Queensland, has been introduced into the Western Australian and South Australian business units.
