The A380 and B767 hybrid can simulate aircraft fires, fuel spills and engine fires at the touch of a button. An externally located and custom designed HAZMAT storage area provides fuel and services supply for the simulator.

The hard surface of the fire training ground forms the catchment area for contaminants for input to the training complex’s waste water treatment plant for recycling and reuse.

Our team worked on the design, fabrication, construction, installation and commissioning of the simulator, fire training ground plus associated building and infrastructure works (training centre, fire vehicle garaging, civil, lighting and security).

The BADGE team worked hard to prepare a project scope and budget to meet client requirements. Included in this has been extensive liaison with all stakeholders and authorities to obtain the appropriate permits.

The project included the coordination of significant underground services to supply the simulator, as well as a custom-designed waste water treatment plant and liaison with the German simulator supplier.
