The retail complex includes a Woolworths, Big W, Dick Smith, Best & Less, a library, 40 specialty stores, restaurants, cafes and two levels of basement car parking.

With the project having five separate handovers and multiple stakeholders, it was testament to the collaborative teamwork led by BADGE that all of them were done on time to achieve the scheduled opening in November 2011.

The build itself was unusual due to the natural slope of the site, the main entrance to the complex appears as only a single storey, however at the rear of the site, it is four-storey’s tall.

Prior to construction commencing, there was significant demolition of existing facilities to be done, along with the removal of 60,000m³ of contaminated soil, which was used to rehabilitate a local quarry.

The 25,000m² site overlooks the iconic Murray River and the project itself, is now considered iconic in BADGE history.
