BADGE SA took out the top award at the MBA Building Excellence Awards on Friday, August 12.

It’s recognition of a strong year for the South Australian arm of the national building group in which it delivered a number of key commercial building projects across the state.

BADGE SA State Manager Nick Abley says the award is testament to the hard work of all staff, including those behind the scenes, in delivering projects to exceed clients’ expectations.

During the awards ceremony, held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, BADGE SA walked away a winner in the Commercial/ Industrial Building $10m to $20m category for the University of South Australia New Learning Centre in Mt Gambier.

This new building and student hub, in the state’s south-east, is a world-class education facility designed to revolutionise the learning experience for regional and rural students. The project team developed a very close and convivial relationship with the local staff – a requirement for a successful project built in a regional location.

This was in addition to two commendation awards; in the Commercial/Industrial Building $10m to $20m category for the Resthaven Head Office and the Commercial/Refurbishment Redevelopment over $5m category for the Marion City Services Depot Redevelopment.
