BADGE were contracted to build a KristallTURM KT-7 high ropes course at two existing recreation centres on the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.

Each course has three climbing levels, 21 platforms, stairs and landings – all supplied by the nominated specialist based in Germany, KristallTURM.

Prior to this project, KristallTURM installed all of their structures using their own team, regardless of where the project was located. With COVID-19 ceasing all international travel, our team became the first in the world to construct a KristallTURM high ropes course outside of their company.

To do this required an installation manual to be created (which had not been done before), in both German and English. The English manual then had to be very carefully cross-checked here in Australia to ensure the translations were accurate. Lengthy training for our team ensued, and we subsequently trained all our subcontractors in the installation techniques before commencing construction.
