Previously only producing bulk product, Murray Goulburn increased their business towards supermarket ready packaged products to include grated, sliced and cubed cheese.

This project marked the commencement of a $500m expansion for the co-operative who operate under a variety of brands including Devondale. The huge factory in Cobram, was to have a 6000m² extension from the existing facility which would entirely service the production of the supermarket ready products.

Three production halls and a transit room were the basis of the works that also included a viewing platform and complex plant mezzanine. Also included were some small works inside the existing facility to build a cool room and some concrete plinths and services for packing robotics to be installed upon.

The project involved demolition works, the construction of the processing building and undercover access link-ways to connect to the existing building. Our team was also involved in the coordination and installation of the highly automated and specialist equipment required for the project.
