This new space in Noarlunga will provide increased health and wellbeing outcomes, employment opportunities and social inclusion for the community. The facility will create 50 new jobs and 44 work placement opportunities for Allied Health professionals. It will also allow 6 additional Auslan interpreters for the community and provide service increases for 2500 clients per year.

The total fit out involved breakout spaces (Sibling Room, Breastfeeding Room, Parent Lounge), innovative therapy (Lego, Digital Gaming, Sensory Garden) and a number of areas to support social inclusion (Youth Room), independence (Independent Living Skills Kitchen & Laundry) and combat unemployment (Barista Room).

At the commencement of the project, we committed to a three-year relationship with Can:Do through the BADGE Foundation. We will work with Can:Do over the three year period to develop creative mutual training opportunities for both our team and their clients starting with the sponsorship of the Lego Therapy Room – a clear connection between our service provision and the use of tactile construction elements for children’s therapy.
