A sloped site ridden with reactive soils was transformed into a specialist centre featuring a two-storey, 6500 sq m building for a wide range of medical tenants.

Located on North East Road in Windsor Gardens, approximately 20 minutes from Adelaide’s CBD, the site required the demolition of four existing structures and extensive soil remediation works.

Due to the soil conditions and the building’s specifications, the structural design and construction involved a combination of different structural systems including raft slab, post tension slabs, preset cast and structural steel.

During the design phase our project team sought extensive input from both the developer, MRS Property, and each committed end-user tenant to obtain a good understanding of their needs and the daily operations of the centre.

This collaborative approach from the outset created positive foundations for the construction phase, with the project team leading and working together with subcontractors to successfully deliver the 480 Specialist Centre, as it is now known.

The building is home to a range of tenants including a day surgery and staff and patients have access to an undercroft car park with space for 250 vehicles.
