Support for local communities has long been at the heart of BADGE, and our people are proud to contribute their efforts to a variety of causes.
In 2018 we launched the BADGE Foundation, an initiative of Managing Director Jim Whiting, which formalises group donations and charitable support. Staff select charities to benefit from donations from a central fund, and drive engagement through volunteering and other in-kind activities.
BADGE Foundation beneficiaries:
- DV Connect (QLD)
- Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge (QLD)
- Puddle Jumpers (SA)
- Youth Futures (WA)
Previous beneficiaries include:
- Safe Pets Safe Families (SA)
- Sunny Kids (QLD)
- Can:Do 4Kids (SA)
- Youth Opportunities (SA)
- Connect Community Plus Kids (QLD)
- Trillion Trees (WA)
- Operation Flinders (SA)
- Perth Homeless Support Group (WA)
- Mates in Construction (QLD/NT, SA, WA)
- Variety SA (SA)
We continue to support community organisations through sponsorships and fundraising.
Puddle Jumpers
Since 2022, our BADGE SA team has proudly supported Puddle Jumpers, a non-profit organisation dedicated to enriching the lives of vulnerable children and young people. Our team has actively participated in fundraising events, including abseiling down the InterContinental Adelaide, raising $13,000 with matched donations from the BADGE Foundation.
In addition, our team organised a Christmas donation drive, setting up a tree in our recreation room where staff could purchase and wrap presents for children who might not otherwise receive them. This initiative brought holiday joy to many deserving kids.
Our commitment to Puddle Jumpers continues, with more team members preparing to take part in this year’s fundraising efforts. We are honoured to support an organisation that ensures every child has the chance to experience happiness and fun.
